Flight restrictions

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, air operations are constantly changing. We recommend staying informed about current flight restrictions before planning any trip and booking your flight.

All passengers traveling in Mexico must use the México Vuela Seguro platform and fill out the health questionnaire. This document will be requested in digital or printed format on the day of your flight at airport security.

Take into account the following:

  • Each passenger must fill out a form
  • A questionnaire must be filled out for each flight
  • We recommend filling it out 24 hours prior to your flight

Flights to Canada

Non-essential flights between Mexico and Canada are suspended. If your travel is essential, check the following restrictions:

By official provision of the Government of Canada, as of January 6, 2021, all passengers, over 5 years of age, traveling to Canada must present a negative molecular COVID-19 test result (PCR, RT-PCR, NAAT, LAMP, or RT-LAMP) which has been taken no more than 72 hours prior to their scheduled flight departure.

Before the flight, you must submit your travel information using the ArriveCAN application or directly on their website, in addition to a mandatory 14-day quarantine upon arrival in Canada.

In addition to these requirements, upon arrival in Canada, you must comply with the following measures:

  • Remain in quarantine for 14 days, even if you do not have COVID-19 symptoms
  • Isolate for 14 days, if you have or develop COVID-19 symptoms

These measures are mandatory and failure to comply can lead to fines, penalties, or imprisonment.

Part of your quarantine must be completed for three nights in a hotel authorized by the Government of Canada. Upon completing your 14-day quarantine, you will be subject to a new COVID-19 molecular test.

Traveling to Toronto

All passengers traveling to Toronto will be required to present a negative COVID-19 molecular test upon arrival. Passengers with connecting flights, with layovers less than one day, are exempt.

Important: All expenses incurred due to these health measures are at your own expense and as a traveler, you must show that you have a “quarantine plan”.
