Mexico City; August 1, 2017.- Viva Aerobus, Mexico's ultra-low-cost airline, offers to its customers the new Culiacan-Tijuana route. Passengers can already buy their tickets from $ 648 pesos. This route will start operations on November 1 with six weekly flights and it is part of Viva Aerobus constant expansion strategy in its domestic flights, showing its commitment to Mexico.
With this launching, Viva Aerobus celebrates 13 new routes so far in 2017, reaching a total of 78 routes to 34 different destinations. Thus, it strengthens the connectivity of the country with a real low cost option.
Therefore, Viva Aerobus reaffirms its commitment to connect Culiacan at the best price, offering now a total of 5 routes from this city with destination to Monterrey, Guadalajara, La Paz, Los Cabos and Tijuana. Thus, Viva Aerobus is the second operator with more destinations from Culiacan and celebrates 10 years of continuous operation in this city with a growing demand. In fact, in the first half of 2017 the number of passengers who traveled to and from Culiacan increased 54% over the same period of 2016, having transported more than 100,000 passengers during this first semester.
Besides, this new route is added to more than 30 weekly flights that Viva Aerobus already offers to travelers from Tijuana, giving them the opportunity to fly with a quality service at the best price on 4 different routes to Guadalajara, Mexico City, Monterrey and, now, to Culiacan. This launch responds to the growing preference of passengers traveling to and from Tijuana. In the first half of 2017, more than 200,000 passengers were transported, a 56% increase over the same period of the previous year.
