Cancun, Quintana Roo, October 15, 2018.- Viva Aerobus, Mexico´s ultra-low-cost airline, strengthens the air connectivity between Mexico and Cuba with its new offer of charter flights in partnership with tour operators and travel agencies. This service covers the Cancun - Camagüey route and will start operations, due to the winter high season, next December 1st with two flights per week: Tuesdays and Saturdays.
"We continue to expand our offer in a diversified manner in order to serve all types of passengers. We arrived in Cuba to strengthen its accessibility with more flight options and with one of the youngest fleets in the world", said Juan Carlos Zuazua, CEO of Viva Aerobus.
With these new flights, the airline grows its presence in Cancun, one of its five operating bases in Mexico. Now, Viva Aerobus will have 21 routes from that city, being the operator that offers more destinations in this entity. In this way, travelers from other cities of the Mexican Republic, interested in visiting the tourist sites of central and eastern Cuba, such as: Cayo Coco, Cayo Guillermo, Holguín, Guardalavaca, Santa Lucia and Santiago de Cuba; will be able to take advantage of the wide connectivity that Viva offers to Cancun to reach such destinations.
In this sense, Viva Aerobus has increased by 16% the number of seats available from / to Cancun International Airport in the first 8 months of the year, compared to the same period of 2017. This is the result of its commitment to one of the main tourist destinations in Mexico, being an important international door to the country.
This announcement represents another step forward in the expansion strategy of Viva Aerobus, which aims to meet the needs of all types of passengers with a quality service at the best price. In fact, Viva Aerobus has already announced, in 2018 alone, 18 new flights and will have inaugurated 23 routes by the end of the year.
