Viva Aerobus achieved a 21% growth in passengers vs. April 2018 and will integrate 3 new aircraft to its fleet this May

April 2019

  • In April 2019 the traffic of Viva Aerobus grew by 21%, compared to April 2018, reaching more than 952 thousand customers and with a load factor of 88.5%, one of the high-est in the industry.
  • This month Viva Aerobus also increased its capacity, measured in available seats, by 24% compared to April 2018, having offered more than 1 million 75 thousand seats.

Year to Date (January - April 2019)

  • So far in 2019 (January-April), the traffic of Viva Aerobus increased by 16%, compared to the period January-April 2018, reaching more than 3.3 million passengers.
  • The accumulated load factor between January and April 2019 reached 88.4%, a growth of 0.4 percentage points compared to the same period of the previous year.
  • The total capacity of Viva Aerobus, measured in available seats, between January and April 2019, increased by 15% compared to the same period of 2018, having offered more than 3.7 million seats.

Arrival of new aircraft in May 2019

  • In line with the expansion of Viva's service capacity, on May 3, a new Airbus A320neo aircraft began operation. Thus reaching a total of 31 aircraft which integrate the youngest fleet in Mexico with an average age of 3.8 years.
  • Throughout May, Viva Aerobus will be receiving another two Airbus A320neo aircraft as part of its fleet modernization strategy.
