Viva Aerobus connects Mexico City with Havana

Mexico City, March 10, 2020.- Viva Aerobus, Mexico´s ultra-low-cost carrier, in alliance with Merely Tours, a tour operator with more than 17 years of experience, announces its new charter flights Mexico City - Havana. This service starts on March 28 with two flights per week, operating on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Bárbara Cruz, Director General of Marketing of the Ministry of Tourism of Cuba, mentioned: “we are excited to receive, once again, Viva Aerobus on the island. Its growing offer in our country contributes to promote tourism, making possible for more people to enjoy the attractions of Cuba".

Viva Aerobus landed in Cuba for the first time in 2018 with the Cancun - Camagüey route, being the only airline to offer these flights. In addition to this route, the airline currently offers Cancun - Santiago de Cuba on a regular basis; as well as charter flights Cancun - Havana and, now, Mexico City - Havana.

“Thanks to the low-cost offer of Viva Aerobus, these charter flights allowed us to create tourist packages in order to vacation at the best price. The flights will be operated with Airbus A320 aircraft with the capacity to carry 186 passengers, aircraft which integrate the youngest fleet in Mexico with an average age of 3.4 years, offering the highest standards in safety and efficiency.
